MARCH’S BREAKFAST WITH THE NEWSMAKERS

On Saturday, New Orleans voters made Dr. Jeffrey Rouse the city’s first new coroner in a generation. On March 27, Lens reporter Charles Maldonado will interview the coroner-elect at our monthly Breakfast with the Newsmakers event.

They’ll discuss the reforms Rouse has promised and how he proposes to pay for them. They’ll look back at controversies that swirled around the office during the decades it was run by the colorful, trumpet-tooting Dr. Frank Minyard. They’ll dig into the coroner’s less well-known role in sanity determinations and sexual assault investigations. The conversation will be wide-ranging. Your questions are welcome.
