This house is located at 136 S Alexander and it is listed as “remediated” by NOAH.
Well it does not look remediated, in fact it is owned not by an elderly homeowner, which is called for in the guidelines.

It is owned by a negligent property owner who has already had 2 houses collapse.
This house is near our home, which is finally very close to being completely renovated. The owner, Vincent Marcello, owns many properties in Mid-City New Orleans. I sure wish he would sell the properties such as this of which he is not taking care. The property has so much potential, it has beautiful details and the person who built it had a real love of architecture. But none of that seems to matter in the current scheme. The owner won’t sell it claiming it is all held up in litigation. This beautiful house, which many people on my block would love to purchase and renovate, will soon fall over and die.
Vincent is also letting several buildings in the French Quarter go to waste. He is currently being cited for neglect violations for at least one property.
You are not going to encourage Vincent Marcello to sell properties by bad mouthing him online or other media. Be respectful and ask him or his representative if he will sell.
