WHY???? what makes this house a demo site. Who is the owner. they need to give the house away and then move out of New Orleans as they clearly do not care for the recovery of our city.

  • The complete agenda has not be released but it looks like they will be building an “Imaging Center”

I guess we will be able to go there and imagine what New Orleans used to look like.

I see that you already have this info. Apparently the neighborhood assoc. received its first notice of the hearing on Friday afternoon, the hearing being Monday a.m. – New Year’s Eve.

  • We have been asking the City to release the agenda in a timely fashion, that has not yet happened.

  • I understand that an engineer has been paid by the demolition applicant to state that the structure is damaged beyond repair. I guess he was able to see who signed the front of the check and the back much better than he was able to assess the structure of the property.

Hopefully we got a continuance, but given the way that the HCDRC communicates with the citizens of New Orleans, how would we ever know?

This is an outrage. Demolish THAT building? You’ve got to be kidding….

  • The demolition of this property will be revieewed again on Monday Jan 28 on the 7th floor of City Hall. Safety and Permits Office.
