This week on Behind The Lens, in the wake of the recent explosion at Smitty’s Supply in Roseland, a flow of unidentified contaminants has made its way down the Tangipahoa River and is visible at least as far downriver as Ponchatoula.

Observers worry about the effects on the river, the possibility contamination could reach Lake Pontchartrain and even more worrying, that the pollutants could make their way into the food chain.

Our guests this week are Lens environmental reporter Delaney Nolan, and editor of the Lens, Katy Reckdahl.
