This week on Behind The Lens, off the coast of Grand Isle, Louisiana, “Cajun Coral” – a highly customizable type of 3D-printed concrete – is creating new reefs, slowly attracting sea life.

And schools are in the news this week as the Superintendent of schools resigned after a huge fiscal blunder and the Orleans Parish School Board settled a years-long lawsuit against the city, providing them with a $20 million cash infusion and $70 million over 10 years.

Also, the Louisiana Department of Education’s statewide school test results for this year are in. The Lens has New Orleans schools’ A through F letter grades.

Our guests this week are reporters Delaney Dryfoos, La’Shance Perry and Marta Jewson.
