As Louisiana braces for a hurricane, we talk with Tulane University’s Associate Director of Emergency & Security studies, Nina Cleveland, about emergency preparedness and disaster trauma.

And Entergy New Orleans has promised a 50-percent reduction in carbon emissions by the year 2030. But that goal is actually an increase from what they achieved in 2017. Michael Isaac Stein will explain.

Also, a local non-profit is set to launch a new program for expelled middle school students that focuses on a holistic approach to getting kids back in their classrooms. Marta Jewson has the report.
