Last week, the New Beginnings Schools Foundation announced almost half of John F. Kennedy High School’s class of 2019 seniors were not eligible to graduate due to missing class credits and a grade inflation controversy at the school. (That number has since grown.) Marta Jewson has the details.

And Louisiana’s law prohibiting abortion after six weeks has gotten a lot of attention. We’ll tell you about four other laws focused on abortion access that will soon take effect in the state.

Finally, while recent national headlines have focused on over-crowded immigrant detention centers in Texas, we’ll talk about conditions at detention centers here, in Louisiana.
