The board of trustees for Warren Easton Charter High School plans to hold a public hearing June 19 on its proposed $8.3 million 2013-14 budget.

Although the deadline for budgets to be sent in to the Orleans Parish School Board was on June 15, the district extended the deadline for Warren Easton, according to Mike Greer, the school’s financial officer.

The school anticipates operating with a slight decrease in funds from last year. As of Jan. 31, the school had projected ending the fiscal year with an operating budget of about $8.5 million.

The meeting will be held at 5 p.m. in room 107 of the school’s campus, located at 3019 Canal Street.
