The Spirit of Excellence Academy, which governs Edgar P. Harney Elementary, met briefly Monday night to discuss last minute preparations for the first day of school. Students will return to class on August 15.
Currently, enrollment stands at 394 students, although numbers currently fluctuate once classes begin. The board spproved the academic calendar for the year, making holidays and the last day of school official.
In reference to their previously approved budget, the board stated that they will not hold an additional public meeting in order to meet state requirements for public budget notice.
