1501 Baronne Street (DEMOLITION of a NOMINATED LANDMARK) Proposal for

This house was on a FEMA demolition list a couple of months ago and apparently, the neighborhood found out about this and they decided to landmark the building to help prevent the demolition. There is no HDLC protection so the neighborhood must landmark buildings proposed for demolition. The owner of this house also owns a couple of other houses on this block that are in even worse condition. This building should not be demolished; there are two beautiful Victorians on that same block that I was afraid to go near because they were in such God-awful condition. Many historic homes in that area have been demolished over the decades; it’s such a shame to see another one go.
