1. Real close to our home. My gut feeling is this house is not significant or interesting, that it does not contribute to the architectural rhythm of Bienville. It doesn’t appear to be in that bad of shape however, though appearances from the street can be deceiving.

2. It looks like a creole cottage but it definitely is not. I wonder how old it is; the brackets make it look old but they could have come from some other house. This is one of those suspect houses.

3. This does not appear to be an original creole cottage. Rather it looks like a post-war replica with some wood brackets attached to bring in some of the detail.

   The windows appear to be too small and look like they’re 1950’s era. Additionally, the brick and concrete stoop is not typical of most 18th century cottages.

   Also, given the general state of disrepair, my guess is that this was a rental unit. If the owner replaces it with a single-family residence, it will probably be an improvement for the neighborhood.

4. replace it with WHAT???????? a crappy, cheaply constructed replica of what used to be? If the replacement is not to be owner occupied, you KNOW corners will be cut and it will look EXACTLY as intended………a cheap, replacement, rental unit……..pride and construction are no longer what they used to be!!!
