New Orleans’ City Council voted unanimously to tighten rules on short term rentals in the city, eliminating the temporary residential permit. Michael Isaac Stein explains the details.

And – a judge this week denied an emergency request for transcripts of 92 John F. Kennedy High School seniors who were found to be ineligible to graduate in the wake of record keeping issues at the school. Marta Jewson has that story.

Also, analysts say the real cost for a proposed Entergy plant is three times more than originally estimated.
