At a Lens event on Nov. 21, environmental reporter Bob Marshall interviewed author John Barry about his role in a controversial lawsuit against the oil and gas industry for coastal loss. He lost his seat on a local levee board due to his leadership on that suit. Barry has announced that he has formed a nonprofit group to lobby for coastal restoration.

The event was held at Basin Street Station & Visitors’ Center with the program beginning at 8 a.m. To RSVP to the next Breakfast with the Newsmakers event on Thursday, Jan. 16, contact Eileen Loh. If you can’t make it, you can watch the video stream here.
