There will be a “report on WDSU tonight”:http://www.wdsu.com/video/18225486/index.html?rss=no&psp=news regarding the sidewalk. From what I have heard the City is planning on having them remove the entire length of the sidewalk and if they do not the City wil replace it and charge them for the replacement cost.

I assume this means if there is a sidewalk out there that has craters in it or major damage that makes it unsafe you could paint it and the City will replace it..

  1. I do like the notion of collective artistic civil disobedience. A campaign to paint all our sidewalks with swirls and stripes, dots and flowers, mandalas for meandering.

  2. Which makes you wonder how this house was placed on a demolition list.

We have non existant sidewalks in this City and they want to penalize these for being painted, which I do believe may not even violate code.

  3. with this and the ‘who gets displaced’ i have just sat here completely speechless and sad. our city is viciously going after women whose hearts are the very city itself. i call ERZULIE DANTOR down on their asses. now.

SHAME ON Joann Taylor too whoever she is. What is her connection to city hall? It is time for naming names.

Ashe’ to you Karen for continuing to ring the bell.

  4. I am a long term volunteer, we are many – should we take photos of all the broken sidewalks and “crater” filled streets and flood the city with photographs? Now there’s a thought …

    I love David’s house.
