Last year at this time we were working feverishly on the issue of the illegal demolition of people’s homes.
This year we have been working just as feverishly on the “non existant”:http://www.squanderedheritage.com/2008/07/12/noah-and-nora/ home gutting program.

Our Mayor, “strongly admonished the reporter”:http://www.wwltv.com/video/?z=y&nvid=265870 and myself. The Chairman Ed Shanklin was equally as aggresive in his presentation and denial of culpability.
“Several Council members asked for answers”:http://www.wwltv.com/local/stories/wwl073008mlleenoah.1b2e43e5.html but some members were noticably absent.
And then today, the NOAH Board met in an “Emergency Session”:http://www.wwltv.com/topstories/stories/wwl080108mlNOAHsuspends.5443b9b.html and in 5 minutes took action to shut it down. As you can see in the video Mr.Shanklin has much less to say in defense of this organization.
New Orleanians deserve better.
Thank you very much. Keep fanning the fire, we need to get good and pissed off and run these Jackals out of our city.
You have done a fantastic Job! I think it is important that we move past getting pissed and move toward a organized and sustained overhaul of our public system. It is the system that continues to allow our officials to let us down…time and time again…we need to build the systems and let the elected officials (who are not experts mind you) run those sytems. A billion dollar organization is run very effectivly by teenagers…McDonnalds. New Orleans is not a billion dollar organization.
Thank you for staying with this. It’s a shame that this administration squandered this opportunity to directly aid our most vulnerable citizens.
As we move forward, it will be engaged citizens like you who drag this city out of the gutter, not any elected officials.
Karen,
Thank you so much for all you do and have done. There are numerous addresses in my neighborhood I have photo doc’d and passed on to Stacy Head’s office that vary from irritating to atrotious. Wondering if you have a moment might you drop me a line so I may share with you my findings? Nowhere near the scope of yours however.
Thanks again,
Jean-Paul

I commend you for the work you are doing. If more Americans took the initiative to end corruption, this country could be great again. God bless you in your efforts!
