So here we have a program for the elderly and seniors claiming to have done work for “seniors and the poor”:http://www.nola.com/news/t-p/metro/index.ssf?%2Fbase%2Fnews-20%2F1173764562304190.xml&coll=1 but this house which is owned by Orleans Metroplitan Housing is on the list.
So go back in your time machines and let’s revisit “Orleans Metropolitan Housing”:http://www.nola.com/news/t-p/frontpage/index.ssf?/base/news-6/1151823733170410.xml&coll=1&thispage=1 and then take another look at this house and the price they paid for it.
Also if your interested in the contractors go “here”:http://wecouldbefamous.blogspot.com/2008/07/noah-ten.html
It would be really, really nice to know who owned this property before the Jefferson clan, and who got paid the staggering amount of (taxpayer-funded grant) money in this transaction. Strangely enough, the assessor’s office (it’s in Betty’s district – surprise!) keeps records going back to 1999. That’s right. Anything 1998 or prior is considered “old” and, well, why would you hang on to anything old? But wait, what about computerized files? No, they don’t have those either. After all, it’s not like information on property ownership could be vital to a city being crushed by blight and negligence.
WOW!!!
$390,000!!!!!!
WOW!
The neighborhoods mentioned seem to omit MidCity. Are any NOAH houses in either the RPC hospital footprint (Canal-Tulane-Rocheblane-Claiborne) or the much larger NOBEDD which appears, more or less, to concern the area from Loyola to Carrollton and from I-10/Xavier U. to Iberville?
