Speechless

The first time we became concerned about this issue was in May when we saw this in the paper

and then went and saw this

After we alerted Chanel she went down to City Hall and discovered her damage assesment had been altered WITHOUT her knowledge or consent.

Since then we have been attempting to shed some light on this issue.

The other day we saw this house had been issued a demolition permit, in spite of the fact that the owner had been through the process of getting his house OFF the demolition list and been given assurances that his house would not be demolished.

Let’s hope the City pays attention to the fact that we are paying attention.

  1. This is heartbreaking. I read about your blog over on Moonbeam McQueen’s blog and followed the link here … and I am just horrified. How can this be happening? I don’t think outside of NO people realize this is going on. It’s very upsetting.

  2. What I would like to know is who is seeking these demolitions. I had assumed these were voluntary demolitions where the owners sought a higher damage assessment in order to demolish. If the owners are not seeking demolition, who is and why?
