Owner Howard Herbert has applied to demolish this
altered raised basement single shotgun to be replaced with a vacant lot.

1513 Saint Peter Street

This was the last house in the immediate area and it is so isolated from the rest of the Treme neighborhood. This house has survived the demolition of Storyville for the Iberville projects in the early forties, the demolitions of many blocks for the creation of Louis Armstrong park, and the demolitions of many homes for the construction of the expressway and its ramps. Will it survive the the hcdrc meeting on May Fourteenth?
