The Recovery School District released its 2012 Equity Report today in an attempt to provide a one-stop-shop for parents looking for data regarding equal access for students. RSD Superintendent Patrick Dobard said district officials believe the data will better inform parents applying for schools through the new OneApp enrollment process, which launched Feb.

Recovery School District Superintendent Paul Vallas is undeniably a busy man. Reorganizing the New Orleans public school system after Katrina and all the years of pre-Katrina neglect is a Herculean task.
Hours after the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education approved Superintendent Paul Pastorek’s to let Recovery School District campuses consider a return to local control, one board member said that she plans to introduce a competing proposal at BESE’s next meeting.
RSD boss Paul Vallas is no regular school employee, and his reputation as a go-getter may cause one to think he’s worked more than expected. But it’s more like a fraction.
