Senior administrators from the NOLA Public Schools district will meet with charter school leaders Tuesday to discuss “how to plan for” potential impacts from the coronavirus in the city’s public schools.
Some seniors are still making up for required exams and classes from previous years.
Nearly half of the city’s public schools had at least one exam voided. Most were due to self-reported incidents. Statewide, 299 schools had voided tests.
The controversy centers around whether the board’s December vote to override Lewis’ recommendation met a legal requirement.
District aims to ensure that what happened at Kennedy High School does not happen again.
The audit also found financial issues which the NOLA Public Schools district plans to review.
The charter is one of three schools in New Orleans with a collective bargaining agreement.
One high school administrator said the district told her to change school policy in what may have been an overstep.
