The Lusher Charter School governing board will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday to discuss the school’s proposed 2013-14 budget.

The K-12 Uptown charter school, run by the nonprofit Advocates for Art-based Education Corp., will present a $15.8 million budget proposal at Wednesday’s budget hearing.

Lynden Swayze, the school’s chief financial officer, said the board plans to approve the final budget Saturday at its regular board meeting.

The budget hearing will take place at Lusher’s Freret Street campus, 5624 Freret St. The meeting is open to the public.
