Behind The Lens Episode 184: ‘The price per square-foot is a little more than half what residents expected’

This week on Behind The Lens, the Louisiana Supreme Court has declined to grant new trials to the nearly 1,500 prisoners who were convicted by split juries. And a report released last week shows that the state has saved over $150 million dollars thanks to a series of criminal justice reform laws that were passed in 2017.

The City of New Orleans’ first offer to residents of Gordon Plaza is about half of what they had proposed for their relocation. And Mayor LaToya Cantrell released her draft budget for 2023.

Our guests this week are Lens reporters Michael Isaac Stein and Nick Chrastil and editor Marta Jewson.
