The Lens is looking at the Landrieu administration’s handling of blight in New Orleans. Tuesday, we published our first story, which details how the administration promised to remediate 10,000 properties and later declared victory based on a study that didn’t actually count properties that the city had dealt with.
Wednesday at 1 p.m. CT, The Lens’ Charles Maldonado will be online to talk about what you see in your neighborhood.
- Is blight still a problem in your neighborhood? Do you see progress?
- If you’ve complained to the city about problem lots, how has the city responded?
- What has the Landrieu administration done well in the battle against blight, and where has it fallen short?
If you have any questions before the chat, you can post them in the comments section below.
LANDRIEU MISSION ABORTED, NOT ACCOMPLISHED. If Mitchell’s administration had actually remediated 10,000 blighted properties in this city as of January 2014, we would have had to annex it! Wat is Mitchell on anyway? It ayn’t marijuana. He’s on the expensive stuff!
