This week on Behind The Lens, a historic drought at the root of ‘superfog’ causing a massive wreck on I-55 and small non-profit news outlets, like The Lens, speak up in the ever-changing media landscape.

Lens Founder and Executive Director Karen Gadbois has taken part in the creation of the Association of Non-Profit News Outlets, ANNO, a growing group of publishers of all sizes “who feel deeply about small(er) newsrooms and the value of those outlets reporting from varied communities on issues that matter.”

“We hope to attract the renewed attention of national funders, who tend to focus on new initiatives,” Gadbois said.

Our guests this week are Lens Founder and Executive Director Karen Gadbois, Reporter Delaney Dryfoos and Managing Editor Katy Reckdahl.
