Special education in New Orleans. The Lens filed an in-depth report — in partnership with WDSU — that examined gaps and failures in New Orleans special education services, and questions about the effectiveness of a federal consent decree. Lens Education reporter Marta Jewson has the story.
Also – Convention Center Boulevard is being downsized from four lanes to two, in order to make way for park space. Meanwhile, planned upgrades to streets in the Warehouse District to deal with the traffic flow, haven’t been started. Michael Isaac Stein has our report.
