This week on Behind The Lens, as the federal government announces a rule to eliminate all lead pipes within the next decade, tests by local nonprofit The Water Collaborative found lead in drinking water at 88% of New Orleans homes tested.

A proposed Biden-administration regulation change could bar the state from using federal dollars for child-protective investigations, controversial crisis pregnancy centers, and reduce the amount of pre-kindergarten funding.

In an effort to convince Tulane University to divest from fossil fuels, students say they must fight geography, history, and the school’s academic partnerships with the oil and gas industry.

Our guests this week are Lens reporters Delaney Dryfoos, Nick Chrastil, and freelance reporter Jay Marcano.
