Two New Orleans police officers were arrested Wednesday on charges of wire fraud after they allegedly submitted time sheets that claimed they were performing both their regular jobs and paid details at the same time. They also are alleged to have stolen money meant for investigative purposes. …

In addition to the payroll fraud charges, authorities believe [the officers] stole money that was intended for “confidential investigative purposes,” according to the FBI-NOPD release.
