Inmate violence continues at OPP; superintendents negotiating Common Core delay

Shifting the dynamics of the budget debate, lawmakers will soon learn that Gov. Bobby Jindal’s spending plan for 2014-2015 is short by $47 million due to an error in calculating last year’s tax amnesty program.

The bill, authored by Rep. Jared Brossett (D), aimed to ban housing discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
